Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Parks are the world’s first interlocking all-trampoline walled playing fields that combined sports, fitness, and entertainment for everyone. All of their equipment is elevated above the floor. Spyder Engineers, LLC provided structural engineering and construction administration services to convert an existing warehouse into a new Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park. The new Sky Zone is located at Columbia, MD.
Due to lack of existing structural drawings, Spyder Engineers, LLC performed field survey to determine the existing structural framing to accommodate new mechanical equipment on the one story warehouse. It was determined that the existing framing was not capable to receive additional loads. Additional steel and reinforcing were designed to accommodate for the new roof mechanical units. Additionally, Spyder Engineers, LLC provided structural designs for the light gage mezzanine with a stair access, an interior mechanical tower enclosure, and all interior platform and ramps for this 35,000 sq foot tenant fit out project.
